About
Help to change and save lives by taking part in our Stair Miles Challenge. Work in teams to climb to 25,000ft - the cruising altitude of a Lia's Wings air ambulance - to raise vital funds and help us celebrate two incredible years of impact as Lia's Wings.

Take the stairs, walk uphill, hop on a step machine or do some box jumps to 'fly' as high as possible in seven days. It all adds up! Track the total number of 'floors' you climb to reach a target height of 25,000ft.

Take on this mighty challenge with your colleagues to help make the seemingly impossible, possible for the families who need us the most.​​
Event experience
Lia’s Wings is a national charity that provides hospital air transfers for children. We ensure that babies and critically ill children can access specialist treatment and care, wherever they are in the UK.

How to register

Complete the registration form below.

Donate a suggested £10 donation to your team's Just Giving page. Your company will have a specific page that will be shared with you.

Ensure you can access a health and fitness app on your smartphone (e.g. Apple Fitness, FitBit, Google Health), and make sure the feature to track "floors climbed" is turned on.​
How it works

Upon registration, you will be added to a company or team-specific Whatsapp group by the Lia's Wings Team for the duration of the challenge.

Each day, do your best to walk, climb, jog, and step up as many times as you can to climb as many "floors" as possible.

At the end of each day, screenshot your progress, clearly showing the total floors climbed, and send a message to your team's WhatsApp group. We'll send you reminders throughout the challenge.

We will then calculate your totals and update the leaderboard, which will be shared on Lia's Wings' social media every day.

Keep an eye on your progress and, if you need to, get a few extra floors in to give your team a better chance of winning!

Most importantly, please showcase your challenge on social media. This will help raise vital awareness and help us reach more families. You never know who might see your posts and who we are then able to support!

Fly as high as our air ambulance and become an honorary captain by earning a pilot pin badge.

The winners of each challenge (individual participant, company team, and top fundraisers) will receive a special trophy and will be featured on our website and social media to reflect their status as inaugural champions!
