Our corporate partner, Houlihan Lokey, has raised over £150,000 since the start of the year through various challenge events, volunteering and intern projects. This is an incredible amount and means that our partnership total is now over £500,000! This is what we’ve been up to:
280+ Houlihan Lokey employees from across Europe took part in 'The 2023 Big Charity Challenge'. This was a huge scavenger hunt across 10 European cities, all to raise funds for Lia's Wings. Each year since 2020, our partners have hosted a mass participation event to engage employees from across the organisation in support of our charity. This year’s challenge raised over £120,000 – our biggest fundraiser to date!
Each year we work with Houlihan Lokey’s Summer Interns on a special charity project that helps our staff team solve real challenges that our charity faces. Thanks to the Houlihan Lokey Foundation’s Give-A-Day scheme which donates $500 to our charity when an employee volunteers for us, we were able to raise over £11,000!
In July, we were proud to have more participants take part in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge than ever before. Over 40+ runners helped raise £15,960 for our charity!
Employees have also taken part in lots of other challenge events for our charity this year including, Hackney Half, a tandem skydive and Tough Mudder.
We have also received some very generous donations from employees that have added to this amazing fundraising total. Thank you to everyone who has supported our charity.
Houlihan Lokey is our biggest funder. They have provided our charity with stability through the pandemic and the uncertain economic times that followed. They are now helping our charity grow as we work towards our goal of reaching every child who needs an aeroplane transfer to hospital.
