Our team were sorry to hear of the recent passing of our former trustee and treasurer, Tim Younger. Tim was a clever, kind and compassionate man who will be sadly missed by us all.
Tim always had a smile on his face, and words of support and encouragement to share. He was genuine and cared deeply for others. Tim was a member of the Lia’s Wings Board of Trustees (formerly Lucy Air Ambulance for Children) and was Treasurer from 2016-2020. He was a key member of the team and played an active role in the growth and development of the Charity.
Tim was also a dedicated fundraiser who took part in numerous challenge events for our Charity, including the 100km Thames Path Challenge (twice), the London-Cambridge Challenge and the Royal Parks Half Marathon (twice). Together with his wife Helen, they organised magnificent, fun and memorable charity balls which raised much-needed funds to help keep our air transfer service going during difficult times.
Tim was a key part of our Charity’s history – he helped shape who we are today. Many children’s lives were changed because of his commitment to Lia’s Wings. We thank him for all he has done, and we move forward knowing he would be so proud of all that we want to achieve.
Helen has kindly asked for charitable donations to be raised for Lia's Wings and Cure Parkinson's in Tim’s memory. If you would like to donate, please visit: https://memorygiving.com/inlovingmemoryoftimothymichaelyounger
