Lia’s Wings Impact Report 2025/26

We’re delighted to share the Lia’s Wings 2025/26 Impact Report, reflecting on an important year for our charity and, most importantly, the children and families at the heart of our work.
This year, we reached our 250th aeromedical transfer, supported 46 children and their families, and operated across 17 countries and four continents. We also saw a fivefold increase in the number of families we supported overseas over the past three years.
Alongside our life-saving air transfers, the report explores the growing support we provide to families before, during and after their journey, our work with NHS professionals, the opening of our new operational base at Biggin Hill Airport, and our plans for the next three years.
There is so much more behind these figures. Every transfer represents a child who needed urgent care, a family facing an incredibly difficult time, and a team working to make that journey a little easier.
Reflecting on this significant year, our CEO, Nathalie Scott, shares:
"Over the past year, we have strengthened our clinical partnerships, expanded our family support services, and invested in the governance and infrastructure needed to meet rising demand. We also launched our new organisational strategy, setting out four goals that will guide our impact: delivering exceptional family‑centred care, strengthening clinical excellence, building financial sustainability, and raising national awareness of the vital role aeromedical transfers play in children’s healthcare. "This report shares the stories, data, and outcomes that define our impact. Most importantly, it reflects the courage of the families we serve and the dedication of our wonderful team and partners who make it all possible."
