We were thrilled to have collaborated with the Jr. NBA at the recent Vitality Westminster Mile, part of the prestigious London Marathon Events. 700 young runners from Jr. NBA teams across the UK came together with members of the Fulham United football club to support Lia's Wings.
The event saw spirited participants of all ages take on a mile-long challenge, racing all the way up The Mall in the heart of London. The efforts of these young athletes were generously rewarded as they received well-deserved medals in front of the iconic backdrop of Buckingham Palace.
Beyond the main race, visitors and participants were invited to explore the exciting world of sports in 'The Vitality Wellness Village' set up in London's Green Park. Here, everyone had the opportunity to try their hand at various engaging sporting activities. One of the standout attractions was the chance to shoot hoops, providing budding athletes with an incredible opportunity to learn from the best.
The event also provided the perfect occasion for attendees to capture memories with the prestigious Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy as their backdrop. These unforgettable moments were not only cherished by the participants but also served as an inspiration for young athletes dreaming of making their mark in the world of sports.
