A gentle space to reflect, remember and process your grief.
Losing a baby or child can leave you with feelings that are difficult to put into words. This journal was created to give bereaved parents a quiet, private space to explore those feelings, remember their child and take things at their own pace.
Created by a bereaved mum, for bereaved parents
The journal was created by Annie, one of the mums Lia's Wings has supported, drawing on her own experience of baby loss. She created it to offer the kind of gentle, supportive space she found helpful during her own journey through grief. It has since become part of the support we provide to families who have lost a child.
What's inside?
The journal includes gentle prompts and space to help you:
Explore and express your feelings
Write about your child and your memories together
Reflect on your experience of grief
Capture memories and moments you want to hold onto
Write freely about whatever is on your mind
There’s no right or wrong way to use the journal. You can work through it from beginning to end, dip in and out of different sections, or simply use the pages whenever you feel you need them.
Take your time
Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and neither does this journal. You might find it helpful to write every day, once a week, or only when you feel ready. There may also be days when you don't want to write at all, and that's completely okay.
This is your space, and there is no pressure to fill every page.
A free resource for anyone who needs it
We provide this journal to the families we support following the loss of a child. We also want it to be available to anyone who feels it could offer some comfort, so we’re making it available free of charge. Your journal is completely free. We just ask you to cover the cost of postage and packaging.
