The Air Charter Association partners with Lia’s Wings

Lia’s Wings is delighted to announce our newest partner, The Air Charter Association, a membership organisation promoting best practices within the air charter industry.

We were incredibly grateful to receive a donation of £2,500 from The Air Charter Association just before Christmas and were then thrilled to receive confirmation from the Association that they were adopting Lia’s Wings as one of their chosen charities.

Our partnership was launched with a fantastic meeting at their London Headquarters, attended by our CEO, Charlotte Young, our Medical Director, Dr Lee Collier, and the CEO of the Air Charter Association, Glenn Hogben. The Association are keen to help us network with their 400+ members, which we see as an amazing opportunity to reach new audiences that have an inherent understanding of the value of our work. The Association have shown an interest in joining forces to actively endorse our fundraising activities to their members, provide our charity with opportunities to attend some of the Association’s amazing events and potentially support us in an upcoming advocacy campaign that we are leading on.

In launching this new partnership, Glenn Hogben, CEO of The Air Charter Association, says:

“We are delighted to support Lia’s Wings, a charity that uses aviation to support children and families at their time of greatest need.  It is amazing to be able to see the impact our support will have and that we can make a real difference. We wish them all the success in 2024 and look forward to continuing our support in the future.”

CEO of Lia’s Wings, Charlotte Young, was also keen to add her thoughts about this exciting new relationship:

“It was really wonderful meeting with Glenn, and having talked for almost two hours, we have come away with a huge amount of excitement and positivity about our partnership. The Air Charter Association have already clearly taken our work to heart, and it was truly wonderful to have a conversation with a partner who already understands the biggest issues we face.
More than that, it’s obvious how heartfelt the Association’s passion to support us is, and we have high hopes that this partnership will be a key part of growing Lia’s Wings, to ensure we can reach, and support more families than ever before”.

We hope this will be one of our most successful, unique and collaborative partnerships yet. Thank you to everyone at The Air Charter Association and their members for your support. Together, using our combined passion for aviation, we are going to transform the lives of critically ill children and their families across the UK.
