We’re delighted to welcome two new Trustees to our Board

We’re excited to announce the appointment of two new trustees, Kevin Ducksbury and Sarah Mills, who will be joining our charity's leadership team. Both bring valuable expertise and a strong commitment to our mission of ensuring every child can access the treatment and care they need, no matter where they are.

Kevin Ducksbury brings over 30 years of experience in the charter aviation industry, having held senior roles in both commercial and business aviation in the UK and abroad. He is currently Head of Aircraft Leasing, Operations and Compliance at Air Partner, and also serves as Chairman of the Air Charter Association.

Kevin says: "I am thrilled to be involved with Lia's Wings and play a small part in this amazing charity that does so much to make a difference to the families that receive vital support during a time when they need it most. To be able to use my lifelong passion to help children is something I am very excited about and fortunate to be given the opportunity to do so."

Sarah Mills is a highly experienced accountant, having worked for over 25 years within some of the UK’s largest franchised motor dealer groups. She began fundraising for Lia’s Wings in 2020 following the transfer of her first grandchild, Sebastian, who was born extremely premature. His journey from Sheffield to Norwich, supported by our team, inspired Sarah to deepen her involvement with the charity in this new role as trustee.

Sarah says: “I feel very lucky to be able to use my skills to support a charity that means so much to me. When Sebastian was transferred, I saw firsthand the importance of the work that Lia's Wings is doing for children and their families. It is in Sebastian's memory that I now want to do everything that I can to enable Lia's Wings to help and improve the lives of other families as they did for us."

Their insight and experience will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and respond to the needs of the children and families we support. Our trustees play a crucial role in shaping the charity’s strategic direction and ensuring we stay true to our mission and values. With Kevin and Sarah joining the board, we’re well placed to strengthen our governance and support the charity’s continued growth and impact.
