Baby Loss Awareness Week: Sharing Love That Never Leaves

Baby Loss Awareness Week can bring up many emotions and memories for families touched by loss. We've walked alongside families through some of the most difficult moments imaginable, and while many return home together to continue their journey, we know that not every story has the outcome hoped for. That's why we're committed to supporting families beyond the immediate crisis, including those grieving the loss of a baby or child.

During Baby Loss Awareness Week, we're sharing Love That Never Leaves, a baby loss journal created by Annie, one of the mums we've had the privilege of supporting.

Annie created Love That Never Leaves after her little boy, Attleigh, passed away at just 28 days old. In his memory, and as a gift from them both, she created this journal as a gentle space to reflect, remember and process grief. This week, we're making copies available to anyone who feels they may benefit from it.

Woman in a hospital wearing glasses holds a bundled baby with tubes and wires, looking tired and protective.
"Attleigh's life was heartbreakingly short, but every second of it was filled with love. The kind of love that never fades, never leaves, and never dies. He will always be my son. Always part of our family. Always part of me. And this story, as painful as it is to tell, is written so that his name is never forgotten and so that any parent walking through this kind of unimaginable loss knows they are not alone." - Annie, Attleigh's mum

The journal is free, with only a small postage and packaging fee, and is available to anyone who feels it could offer comfort or support. If you know someone navigating baby loss, please consider sharing this resource with them.
