The Big Give Christmas Challenge has officially begun, offering supporters a unique opportunity to double their impact and help families stay together when it matters most.
Christmas is a time to be with family and to be close to those who matter most.
For some families, though, the festive season brings the unexpected. A child falls seriously ill or is critically injured. A baby is born too early, far from home. A season of joy is replaced by fear and uncertainty.
In these situations, Lia’s Wings is often the only charity that can help families be together again. We provide life-saving air transfers for children by plane across the UK and overseas. We make sure babies and families receive the vital care and treatment they need. Alongside these urgent air transfers, we provide emotional and practical support to the family throughout the crisis and beyond. From the first phone call, we give families strength and hope when they feel lost.
“The relief we felt when we finally touched down on British soil, all of us together and safe, is immeasurable. Lia’s Wings didn’t just provide a service; they provided peace of mind and made what seemed like an impossible journey smooth and stress-free. We are eternally grateful.” – Jo, Elsie’s mum

We don’t know how many children will need us this Christmas, but with your support, we can be ready to respond to every family, no matter where they are. With each flight costing between £10,000 - £30,000, it is vital that we raise enough funds, so we don’t have to risk saying no to families who have nowhere else to turn. We receive no funding from the NHS or the Government and rely solely on donations to facilitate these life-saving air transfers.
This year, we are very excited to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, where all donations to Lia’s Wings between midday 2nd December to midday 9th December will be doubled.
Your gift can go twice as far to help children reach life-saving care and families fly home for Christmas.
Thank you very much for your support. Together, we can make sure every child reaches the care they need, no matter where they are.
